Yoga is an ancient form of mental, physical and spiritual practice that aims to uplift. The word Yoga comes from Sanskrit, an ancient Indian language, which has been interpreted as 'Union'. There are a variety of different yoga types

Many people believe that yoga is just about stretching

They are SO wrong, it is so much more

The Asanas - postures and flowing movements build strength, flexibility, improve posture and tone muscles. But it goes so much deeper than that. Yoga forces you to concentrate on your breathing, calming your mind

It's a fluid form of meditation that detoxifies your body, your mind and your soul

How is it ‘Hot’?

We offer a range of classes in our amazing custom built studio, we often crank the heat up to between 32-40 degrees, with humidity of at least 40%

Been to Asia?  Well imagine that… Hot Yoga was created to replicate the heat and humidity of India, the birthplace of yoga

At Yogabomb we use infrared heat panels on the ceiling, plus an industrial humidification unit to automatically maintain control of the correct levels within the studio. Paired with an air filtration system that keeps the air moving and avoids stagnant air hanging around - Job done!

Keeping the studio humidity levels at 40% reduces the evaporation of any perspiration, thus increasing HEALTHY sweating. Giving you a fantastic and effective workout!

Hatha Yoga - the practice of physical yoga postures

THE YOGA OF MOVEMENT

Hatha can be translated as ‘Ha’ meaning SUN and ‘tha’ meaning MOON. Referring to the balance of the masculine (sun) and feminine (moon) aspects within us. Hatha yoga is a path towards creating balance

Most of the classes at Yogabomb are based around Hatha, primarily through Vinyasa Flow which is a faster flowing form of Hatha. So what does that entail?

Ready for a cardio work out that gets your sweat on?

Vinyasa Flow is a flowing series of postures that links breath with movement.  Inhaling and exhaling as you seamlessly move from one position to the next.  You generate heat from within, working your muscles, core, flexibility and on some crazy days, your ability to turn into an acrobat (don't worry, it's good fun).  The best bit about a flow class is that you literally get into the flow, and the flow is different every class.  You forget that you are working really hard and just mentally get into it
